One of my favorite photographers in the dog world is Ron Schmidt of Loose Leashes. He has a new poem by Sam the Dog. Personally, I think Ron wrote it, but I must admit Sam has a knack for garbage, with all things smelly.

An Ode to Garbage Day

Oh garbage day, I love you so! You overpower my senses.
Little treats, sprinkled on the street weaken my defenses.
A tiny hole poked in a bag exposes something smelly.
I quickly gobble it up. Hiccup! Now I have a sick belly.
Oh garbage day, I hate you so! I wish that I had passed
that little treat out on the street. Now off to nibble some grass.
